The Spain Trip: Valencia (Part I)
Moving ahead on our journey, today we will be visiting a city in Spain. Valencia, the third largest city in Spain. One of the places that must be on everybody’s travel list. Valencia is famous for lots of things, and places. Port of Valencia is the busiest container port in the Mediterranean Sea. The climate in Valencia is a mix of all four seasons. Summers are too hot and springs are too good. The best time to enjoy is in springs. Being on the sea coast, most of the places to visit in Valencia are not near the sea. Also, the beaches are not the only place of attraction here. Let’s have a glance at where to visit when in Valencia:
PLAZA DE TOROS
Plaza De Toros is a bullring in Valencia and is famous for bullfights. It has a beautiful roman architectural design. The building is 48 sided polygon structure. It is a huge place and can accommodate around 17000 seated individuals at a time. It is one of the largest bullrings in Spain.
Mercado Central
It is a public market in Valencia. Here, you will find food, gift articles shop etc. The central market covers up to 8000 sq. m. space and spread across 2 floors. It has many restaurant options as well.
Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències (City of Art & Science)
This place is a core attraction of the city. It lies on river Turia. This place has many buildings for entertainment and knowledge. It has a cinema hall, planetarium, museum, park & art center. You can enjoy opera performance over here. It has an ocean park. This art city has a place for concerts as well as sports.
Turia River Garden
It is a beautiful garden in Valencia along the riverside. You can hire a bicycle and have a nice calm ride next to the beautiful river. Green plants, jogging trails and everything else you can find in a park.
Miguelete Bell Tower
This tower is a gothic style construction. Started in the fourteen century and finished in the fifteen. It has a bell room at its top from where we can view the entire city & the sea as well. The landscape view from here is awesome. It’s around fifty meters high and the perimeter is same as height.
Marina Beach club
Awesome place to spend a day relaxing. You can go for a beach swim, have rest in shades and view the beach laying over the sunbed. In the evening, you can opt for a cruise ride to see the beautiful sunset from the middle of the sea. Food over here is tasty and you can enjoy a variety of seafood.
