The champ is still alive and he is peacocking around…

Round two is now in the books. That puts us on the verge of crowning our next Mega-League Champion or crowning our first two time champion. Twenty-two teams entered this weekend and unlike last week, the league scored some remarkable lows across the board. Only four scores from the remaining playoff teams this week would have been high enough to get through last week (six total scores of all 60 teams). Eight teams are moving on thanks to scores of 117 points or higher.

22 teams hoping and praying they are one of the 8 as they check to see if they topped 117

But before we recap the weekend, don’t forget you can check out the other conferences at any time by clicking on the links below.

Mega Playoff Results

NOT EVEN A TORTOISE

But this wasn’t one of those days for you…
It means that Chris Black and his extra-ordinary season is over!

It was also this time last year that Dave Mendez was called out and confirmed as a fraud. And for the 2nd straight year, Mendez can’t get it done in the playoffs putting up the lowest score of all playoff teams. In fact, only five total teams in the league scored below the Mendez line. Despite four of those five already in quit mode starting players on the IR.

Sorrynotsorry Mendez

Four of these teams still have a chance to win their conference championship:
— Chris Black (Conf. C)
— Jeff Mazure (Conf. E)
— Kevin Gutelius (Conf. F)
— Mark Turanin (Conf. F)

And one team that missed the cut last week does as well:
— Justin Wrentzel (Conf. A)

TIME TO GET SERIOUS

For eight teams, it is time to get serious

What is interesting is that only one team (for the second year in a row) above will not win their conference, Wide Right (Josh Van Dexter), but is still able to win it all.

Nope, not Larry. We are looking for the Champ!

One of these eight teams will dance their way into history!

Conference Playoff Update

Conference A

ESPN has Bruner as a a 3.8 point favorite. Fantasy Pros has Wrentzel as a 4 point favorite. This one will certainly come down to the wire.

Conference B

Both Fantasy Pros and ESPN have Falcone as the favorite over Russell, but it’s highly likely the time has come for the champ to fall and Russell to get his revenge from their week 13 matchup to determine the first seed.

Full disclosure, I plan to double dutch my way to victory.

Conference C

Note: You can ignore my name on there, I am added as a co-owner in each league to access and run the site.

Another close matchup here between Davis and Black. Despite being bounced from the Mega League Championship, Black has a chance to seek revenge for his only loss this season. With a big week, Davis could lock up his division and the whole enchilada. This will be there third meeting between the two teams.

Conference D

In another rubber match, we should see a close game, but Graham should walk away with the victory here. With a 5 point (Fantasy Pros) / 8.2 point projected spread, I don’t think this matchup will be that close.

Conference E

Less than two points in both projections. Will the double tight end unit overcome the formidable duo of Zeke and CMC? Kucharski is poised to win the matchup despite all the red checkmarks next to Mazure’s players.

Conference F

Fantasy Pros predicts a dead heat here between Turanin and Gutelius. They met one other time this year in which Gutelius put Turanin in his place after a 40 point victory in week 6. This one could be decided by less than a point when all is said and done.

We will see how it all shakes out in the end. Questions, let me know.

… my message to those that disagree with my thoughts above.
