Listening Inside
A small voice lives inside each of us and it is our true self
Seven-year-old Lucas felt uneasy about climbing the tall jungle gym on a sunny day in the park despite his friends’ excitement.
Sensing his hesitation, his mom knelt beside him. “What’s wrong, honey?” she asked gently. Lucas frowned, “Something doesn’t feel right, Mom. I think it’s too high for me.”
His mom nodded understandingly, “Always trust that feeling inside, Lucas. It’s your instinct protecting you.”
Grateful for her support, Lucas decided to play on the safer swings instead. This experience taught him the value of listening to his inner feelings, a lesson in trust and safety he’d remember always.
The wonderful TzeLin Sam talks about the fear of making a mistake.
