We’re All One Mosaic
A Cubist reality
We are mosaics. Pieces of light, love, history, stars. Glued together with magic and music and words.” — Anita Krizzan, Poet
When I woke
from a distorted dream,
I saw faces
of different denominations,
races & creeds.
A plethora of talents —
an array of genders,
riding bikes & balancing
on a single wheel.
It was an epiphany.
I gained clarity.
We are all ONE mosaic,
a Cubist reality.
Some of us have smooth edges
while others, jagged.
Some have
pleasant dispositions,
speak with inspiring words,
while others have a cynical tone,
critical of everyone.
I saw the pretty in the ugly,
the strong in the weak,
the courageous in the spineless
& the musical in the tone-deaf.
I saw a woman
giving a helping hand,
while others ignore the cries,
not wanting…
