Andrzej Wajda, RIP.

The great Polish filmmaker Andrzej Wajda passed away over the weekend. One of the European greats of the second half of the 21st century, Wajda directed a number of essential works, not least 1977’s Man Of Marble, which might just stand as the great work of Polish cinema. Our thoughts are with those closest to him. A thorough obituary can be found at the New York Times.
