On Compiling A Film Canon. July 2017 Update.

Two films join the Hope Lies at 24 Frames Per Second Canon this month, in the shape of Diane Kurys’ Peppermint Soda and Arthur Penn’s Mickey One. A diverse pairing, we’ve written at length of my affection for the Penn film here, and will be doing so on Peppermint Soda in the near future.
