Welcome to 2016! As is often the case it’s a slow start to the new year, with but a pair of releases from excellent new upstart Signal One the lone diamond in the rough. Fret not though, for January builds to one hell of a crescendo, with A Touch Of Zen coming from Masters Of Cinema and Arrow’s delayed Rivette set hopefully reaching us by the end of the month. Criterion have also unveiled their annual New Year’s hint doodle too, which appears to suggest that Noah Baumbach’s The Squid And The Whale is forthcoming, so take a look at that. For now though, look to the aforementioned Signal One and impressive editions of Mr. Majestyk and The Trip for your home video fix.
