CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

Seeing broken plates invokes in me a memories from my childhood

I have eight siblings including me and it’s always chaos especially during meal time and always finger pointing who would wash the dishes.

As children, we are so careless and most of the time we always hear the plates or the glass being broken.

One day my mother comes to a boiling point because of our carelessness. As you see, we are not from affluent family and every time we broke something, it means we have to buy another plates or glass or else, we have to take turns in using it.

My mother said “ Next time I see a plates or glass broke again, I will make a necklace out of it and hang it on your neck, and let you carry it everywhere you go.”

It would be embarrassing right? Imagine yourself going to school with that plates as necklace hanging around your neck😜, and on top of that, it’s heavy too😰😱😅

That memories stays with me even today which brings a smile to my face how ridiculous it sounds. When I became a mother myself, I tell my daughter to just be careful and if she did broke a glass or plates, I just tell her to clean her mess and it’s just an accident.

Can you imagine a necklace of broken plates? 😂😅🤣

My rendition of a broken plates necklace 😆🤣😂. Sorry, I try to make it as funny as possible:)
