Do you ever stop the car to take a photo?

Somewhere on the A338 towards Bournemouth, Dorset

I don’t like to have too many things to do in a day unless I am excited about every one of them. Today, like the last few days has had too many things to do. I am becoming more aware of how my brain functions and it doesn’t seem to like more than 3 things at a time.

I had to load the car with more than 3 bags as someone is living life to the max and needs new supplies to take her from Bournemouth to Reading Festival.

I will stay a few days in Bournemouth while Cee attends a Summer school.

Life really shouldn’t be about rushing from one thing to the next yet often others demand it of us and more often we demand it of ourselves.

A friend of mine who departed the planet before me left a message for life. One thing she said that remains with me was ‘Make time to smell the flowers.’

So as I was driving along this afternoon with Cee’s rap music blaring I noticed this beautiful purple heather in the fields, I stopped had a short stroll and then took this photo.

It was a contrast to the University accommodation that I booked, windows looking into walls.

My brain functioning also takes time to adjust to new settings so although comfortable I won’t be settled until at least tomorrow.

There are those of us who seem to respond to life by our thinking and the rest by our emotions, I am of the latter group. While it is great for spotting purple heather it is not so good when adjusting to new settings.
