Introducing HORD LP Staking Farm
Hord is excited to announce its official Uniswap liquidity mining program, aptly named: HORD LP Staking Farm.
The first round of the program rewards holders of Liquidity Provider tokens from the HORD-ETH liquidity pool on Uniswap with up to 1.500.000 HORD, distributed over approximately 400.000 blocks (roughly 2 months). Rewards are distributed proportionally to the amount of liquidity each person provides, therefore APY per person depends on how many LP tokens they contribute to the Farm.
A time-based reward system is implemented to further incentivize long term liquidity providing. Users staking their HORD-ETH LP tokens on the Farm earn a cumulative reward for each block on the Ethereum blockchain. The benefits are distributed at the confirmation of each block proportionally to the total amount of LP tokens in the Farm at that time.
Example:
If, for the sake of simplicity, we postulate the Farm to have just two contributors and a reward of 1 HORD token per block and:
- Bob initially contributed 4 tokens and for the previous block, he was the sole contributor
- Alice contributes 10 tokens during the current block
In the current block:
- Bob’s total contribution is 5 tokens (his initial 4 tokens plus the 1 token he earned as the sole contributor in the previous block)
- Alice’s contribution is 10 tokens
At block confirmation, the reward is distributed as follows:
- Bob receives one third (0.33) of the reward = 0.33 token
- Alice receives two thirds of the reward = 0.66 token
These rewards are added to their previous contribution, increasing their share of the subsequent block rewards without requiring additional contribution.
So, it literally pays to join in early!
Rewards are calculated constantly by the smart contract, paid out at block intervals and both deposits, as well as accrued rewards can be claimed at any time. The longer you provide liquidity, the higher the rewards.
