Horizon Robotics and Continental Sign MoU in the Field of Intelligent Driving

The AI solution provider Horizon Robotics and the technology company Continental have signed a MoU. The two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation in the fields of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and Autonomous Driving applications with a focus on the Chinese market.

According to the agreement, Horizon Robotics will bring its core competency in automotive-grade AI processors and artificial intelligence algorithms into the cooperation with Continental, and both parties will jointly create innovative and industry-leading intelligent driving solutions, contributing to the innovation of automotive industry worldwide and embracing the coming era of smart vehicles.

Frank Petznick, Executive Vice President of the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems business unit at Continental, said:” Continental is committed to advanced automotive technologies to provide the affordable, safe and comfortable driving experience to customers. We are pleased to cooperate with Horizon Robotics, a pioneer in developing software & hardware co-designed edge AI solutions for computer vision purposes in ADAS and Autonomous Driving areas, with a high degree of specialization in Chinese scenarios. By integrating Horizon’s SoC incl. AI empowered detection software into certain ADAS product lines, the new systems will be characterized by well-known German-engineering quality standards combined with best-in-class vision performance for Chinese roads in spite of its low energy consumption and affordable price. This combination enables us to fulfill the goals of the future driving experience as mentioned above.”
