Events vs. Journeys

Events occur at a set point in time. A journey is a culmination of events that comes together over time. A journey is ongoing.
Your new promotion is an event. Your career is a journey.
The day your child is born is an event, while the memories you make and time you spend with your child is the journey.
Events are more frequent and and tangible, thus, more present in our minds. Take caution, however, as the energy and time we invest into events can cloud our vision and shift our focus away the greater journeys that define our lives and legacies.
