Community Update #3 — 9th May, 2018
Welcome to our third Horizon State Community Update! Things have certainly continued to move at the same exhilarating pace as they did in the previous post and we have many updates to share with you.
The first and most noteworthy update is that we have secured a new strategic partnership with Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) the world’s largest independent socio-religious organization. Horizon State technology will empower over 96 million NU members with a focus on community enablement and improved access to services.

In other news regarding partnerships involving Indonesia and Horizon State, we will be launching a pilot project on Sumatra Island in the later half of the year. This project has been featured on Coindesk and in Reuters.
The RemTECH Awards just concluded and we were honoured to be a part of the event where Jamie Skella presented the Industry Choice award. Horizon State also had the opportunity to develop the RemTECH blockchain voting application to increase accountability of the winner selection. An exciting feature of this app was the ability to view the ongoing results on the blockchain. You can go to the following link and click on any of the voting transactions “Tx Hash”, then click on “Convert to UT8”, you can see the data for that cast vote. Horizon State has just joined the Australian Digital Commerce Association (ADCA). The ADCA is an industry group made up of Australian businesses implementing blockchain solutions. You can read more about this opportunity here.
Horizon State has also joined the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA).
“We are proud to join the EEA and are thrilled with the opportunity to work alongside industry-leading companies, and cooperatively spread awareness for the potential of blockchain in enterprise,” said Jamie Skella, Chief Product Officer, Horizon State.
Speaking of Jamie, he has been included in Australia’s Top 10 Blockchain Pioneers as featured on Micky.com.au. He was also one of the speakers at the “Turbo Charge your Business Using Blockchain” event and has interviewed with Michael Waitze of the Asia Tech podcast and the Trader Cobb podcast. Jamie shared additional information on our partnerships and achievements in those two podcast interviews so they are definitely worth listening to if you haven’t already done so.
