Community Update #1 March 26th 2018
Welcome to the first Horizon State Community update! These blogs are to give our hard-working community a snap shot of the current happenings at Horizon State to be as transparent as possible.
Since the end of the ICO we have been in a flat-out sprint to grow the team and bring on new customers. We have hired 20 new employees since that time and there are more on the way. We will continue to scale quickly so that we can deliver as quickly as possible for our initial clients.
We will have some “get to know the team” updates in the weeks ahead, so that you can see what an extraordinary team we have assembled. We have also made very impressive inroads to customer acquisition. We will be announcing them as deals are finalized.
Speaking of announcements, we will specifically not be announcing anything that is outside of our control going forward. For instance, when we first engaged with the top exchange that we will be listed on, we were given a time frame of 4–5 weeks and subsequently shared this with our community. There have since been delays that were outside of our control and we apologize for this. We will still be listed, it’s just taking longer than we had expected.
We had our first community meet up in Melbourne with special guests Ian Balina and Nuggets News. The event was a resounding success with over 400 people in attendance. The team was truly inspired to meet so many of our community members, the outpouring of support was beyond amazing. For those of you that were not able to be there we have just posted a video of the event for you to enjoy.
The YouTube page will now specifically be reserved for our branded content. Things like our community AMAs and YouTube influencer interviews will still be available via direct links but will not show up on the channel page. You’ll soon be able to find a dedicated post listing these for your easy access on our subreddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/HorizonState/).
We are going through a branding phase currently to make sure that the Horizon State brand lines up with the values and messages we want to present to our customers and community. This will include all our outward facing platforms, as well as our new website.
Our Co-Founder Jamie Skella and the rest of the team have recently been hard at work spreading the word about Horizon State at events around Australia, most recently this month at the APAC Block Chain Conference and DevOps Talks Conferences in Melbourne and ETHx: Computational Law + Blockchain Festival in Sydney.
Going forward you can expect to see these update blogs regularly. We really appreciate our community’s ongoing and steadfast support and your trust in us to deliver a better world through better decision making platforms.
