The Shreveport Municipal Memorial Auditorium in Shreveport, Louisiana is well known for having hosted some of America’s most famous musicians, many of which were later inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In addition to helping launch artists into superstardom, it is home to paranormal entities.

Sometimes a building’s past allows a building to have a character of its own. The Shreveport Municipal Memorial Auditorium is no different.

The Shreveport Municipal Memorial Auditorium, often referred to as “the Muni”, was built in the 1920s as a memorial to those who served in World War I. [1] The Art Deco auditorium contains a 6,300-square foot arena and seating for more than 3,000 people. [2]

The Muni served as the location for the Louisiana Hayride for several years, a radio and television broadcast where musicians such as Hank Williams, George Jones, and Johnny Cash performed. [3]
