M3GAN is an AI talking and stalking doll with a superiority problem and a knack for murder. M3GAN received lots of attention when the trailer dropped at the end of last year. And more then two months after its theatrical release is still performing well in cinemas.

I mentioned in this February Horror Hounds Guide that M3GAN surprised at the box office ranking in second place during its first week at the box office behind the vastly more expressive blockbuster Avatar: The Way of Water.

As of February 20, 2023, M3GAN has grossed $93.7 million in the United States and Canada, and $77 million in other territories, for a worldwide gross of $170.7 million.

M3GAN is proving popular with a Rotten Tomato score of 93% on the Tomatometer and a score of 78% on audiences. But, as praise for horror is often too rare, I decided to see myself to see if it’s worth the hype.
