Peggy Sue’s on Route 57
It was one of those American style diners but completely out of place in the middle of nowhere on the Oxfordshire border.
I cringed at the name Peggy Sue’s on Route 57 and rolled my eyes for good measure. I’d expect the owner would be a man who went on holiday to Las Vegas once and whose only connection to the 50s is that that’s the decade in which he set up this business.
