Short Description

WHM stands for WebHost Manager. It allows you to manage every hosting account on your web server. It is a web- based tool which is used by resellers and server administrators. It is used with cPanel. It is used to add domains to the server, create individual accounts, control panel maintenance, performing basic system, and manage hosting features. It saves time and money. It is available on most of the Linux hosting plans, including VPS, Linux Dedicated Servers and Reseller Hosting. It provides you great control and flexibility.

WHM is an easy to use Web application. It gives administrative control of the dedicated or Virtual Private Server. It is used to manage various hosted services at a single place. Corporations and hosting providers use it to minimize system administrator workload and also to save money on labour. It provides administrative access to the back end of cPanel. There are two versions of WHM, basic WHM and root WHM. VPS accounts and Dedicated Servers get root WHM while basic WHM is given to Reseller accounts. Root WHM has a larger set of features than the basic WHM. It streamlines and automates time consuming server management tasks.

It turns your VPS into a scalable business opportunity. It provides you with highest server protection and security. It helps in creating and managing user accounts, managing the sites, and establishing pricing tiers. WHM Home interface provides you with all the WHM’s sections. WHM’s interfaces can be used to manage accounts, software, and IP addresses on your server. WHM has more than 500 available plugins and applications. They help the user to find all the necessary widgets and tools. You can incorporate it with images, colours, and custom branding assets of your choice.

It has server monitoring tools which give you information about your servers at any time like viewing resource utilization, configuring automations, diagnosing log file issues, and securing servers from third party attacks. The server administrator can perform maintenance operations from WHM like installing Perl Modules, recompiling and upgrading PHP & Apache, and upgrading RPMs which are installed on the system. It provides an option to limit the connections from each host to the POP3 server.

It has tools to create, suspend and delete the cPanel accounts.It provides you the capability to create a default page whenever you create a new account. It has tools which gives you permission to check the server status and other information. It gives you ability to configure your customers’ support requests through cPanel.

It gives you the option to create multiple cPanels and manage them while providing you the ability to sell hosting services. It increases the security as the chances that a hacker can get into your all sites after hacking one of them is reduced. It also increases the privacy as there is no way that anyone can tell if different cPanel accounts are attached to the same WHM account. It monitors and adjusts your disk space and bandwidth which helps you to upgrade and adjust the bandwidth only when needed thus, reducing the costs. It allows unlimited domains on a shared cPanel account.

2: Enter your WHM username and password in Username and Password text boxes respectively.

3: Click on ‘Log in’.
