Ridiculous Things Dogs Do That We Love
I’m a dog person. I’ve rarely met a dog I didn’t like. I have my own dogs, but I’m still more than happy to love on someone else’s if we’re out and about and see someone walking their dog.
Most dogs are just so happy doing whatever it is they are doing at that moment that it’s contagious. They are happy being outside. Happy walking. Happy meeting a new friend. Being around all that happy makes me happy, too. I’m enamored with all the fun doggy traits — from the lolling tongue to the wagging tail.
It didn’t strike me that not everyone finds dogs amusing until I found out my wife is not a dog person. (*gasp* I know.) She tried. We started with a cute puppy, took her to classes together, have lived with her for years now, and still, her behavior baffles my wife. She is a hardcore cat person who, despite years of our dog trying diligently to train her, still looks at dogs as if they are strange alien creatures.
I tried to step back and see what my wife sees. I can grudgingly admit that possibly some of the things I find adorable in dogs might be a little weird. Though truthfully, I prefer to think of them as endearing.
So, my fellow dog lovers, here is my list of some of the top potentially ridiculous things dogs do that your cat-loving friends may not find nearly as charming as we do.
