Some Journeys Don’t End

My recent trip to New Zealand felt like walking through a living painting, one gently brushed with soft Clouds. Everything around me was poetic. My attention went wild as it shifted from one scene to another: endless green valleys dotted with sheep and cows, the calm waters of serene lakes, and the wild fragrance of the woods. It wasn’t just a place I visited; it was a feeling I carried with me, one that still lingers.

The first day and the very first moment were so dramatic that I wonder if I could put them into words.

Stepping out of the airport, I was embraced by low-hanging clouds. I felt as if I could chase them, follow them far, somewhere unknown. At that moment, all I felt was that I was needed, accepted, and that life was going to be long, and how kind it was to me. I also remember thinking this land needs me as much as I need it.

We stayed in Queenstown, a place that felt both cosy and grand, a two-storeyed apartment with a balcony facing the lake. Those golden moments of watching the ancient streamer puffing by with its majestic flag waving goodbye, I prayed, would never end. The lake sparkled all day in the Sunlight, deep blue and glinting like emeralds dropped from the sky. Rafts and canoes explored its surface. It looked as though nature had arranged a little…
