A new release went out today for Hourly. Along with a range of minor fixes and enhancements, there’s a handful of headline improvements worth highlighting.

Expense Reporting

Hourly users can now dive into expense data just like they can with time.

You’ll now see a new filter on the Everything report. This lets you switch between Time and Expenses. The remaining filter options can be used to refine the data returned.

You can now toggle between Time and Expenses in reporting.

Also, there’s now an Expense tab on the People, Projects and Clients tabs.

People, Project & Clients now have an expenses tab.

Remember, you can download these reports or schedule them to send as an email.

Scheduled reports now handle expenses.

Changing Users

Hourly now supports the changing of users via the Everything report.

To take advantage of this new feature, simply use the drop down on each row to change the user if required. Note that the user name is now displayed in desktop view.

Admin users can now change the user associated with a time entry.

Xero Integration

We’re getting closer to official Xero certification. This release we’ve added the ability to set a default revenue account. This is the account under which your Hourly invoices will be credited (if you have Xero integration enabled and set up).

You can now set a default revenue account for Hourly invoice line items that export to Xero.

You can also now import taxes from Xero so you don’t have to set them up from scratch. Go to Account > Invoice Settings to access this feature.

You can also import taxes from Xero.

Thanks!
