PROMPT: Write a haiku or tanka using the prompt word “past” (or a derivative).
I recently started a new job at the Qantas Founders Museum in Longreach, Queensland, Australia.
Working there has made me realize just how important museums are. They offer us tangible connections to past lives and times. They help us to remember the people and events that have shaped our world. And they help preserve the vital knowledge we require for charting our future.
Long live museums of all types, be they large or small!
