On the road to Pentecost — Day 21
On the road to Pentecost — Day 21
“And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32
“Now as they spoke to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them, being greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. And they laid hands on them, and put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening. However, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.” Acts 4:1-4
Beloved,
“and the number of men came to be about five thousand,” was a beginning.
He is the only one found worthy . . .
The Name of Jesus is spoken and the entire world is turned upside down — the ground is shaken, and darkness tries to hide. But darkness cannot hide from the Lord’s Eyes — the knee must bow, and the tongue confess that He is Lord.
Our DNA must be invaded by a Love so Great, that He gave His Life — so that you should live. This incredible Supernatural Love that makes us bold for a King that died on a Cross, must be sown deep within our being — and not on untilled soil.
Like a well, for the purest water, we must go deep — where the depths and pressures of rock percolates every drop -before rising to the surface.
The pressures of the day can seem at times very hard and difficult. Our hearts are always straining at the Truth — to bear it, to release it. To know that our words make a difference, and lives are saved — but sometimes, we do not see the fruit of our effort.
It is in those times, that persecution can be the strongest.
To stand, to resist temptation — moving forward in the Gospel, at the risk of our own lives. But in essence, we have to lay down our lives — so that we might pick His Life up.
We must preach a Jesus tortured
We must preach a Jesus crucified
We must preach a Jesus who died a horrible death
We must preach a Jesus resurrected
And a Holy Spirit that is Deposited DEEP within
That is where the Joy is found — in Him. Where Holiness takes presidence — and nothing else matters. Our lives become living sacrifices, where our peace is found in Him — and our lives take on the Glory that covers the earth quality.
It is in this moment — that Truth is realized.
He is the Joy Giver.
