Description: Founded in 2013 by Robert Lewis, Jr., the BASE builds on 30 years’ experience in youth baseball to reimagine pathways to success for urban youth on and off the field. The program is based in Roxbury, MA, and is expanding into Chicago this year. It employs techniques that cultivate excellence, belief and love, shining a spotlight on the limitless potential of our young people. Traditionally oriented toward boys, the BASE has recently added girls to its program.
