Jerm Jarden is in some deep ship.
ODDER SPACE… now available!
Hello, there!
It’s been a while since the last newsletter, but that’s only because we didn’t have any news. Now we do:
Founding contributing editing guy Matthew David Brozik has just published a new novel.
ODDER SPACE is a humorous middle grade sci-fi novel. With a thirteen-year old protagonist, it’s intended for a younger audience (ages 8–12)… though that’s not to say adults wouldn’t enjoy it. They totally would. You totally would.
Here’s the blurb:
Jeremy “Jerm” Jarden is traveling with his mom aboard the Benevolent League of Worlds Fleet vessel Amity. Jerm’s dad is in the League Fleet, too. As Jerm himself puts it:
Because they both got new assignments at the same time, and because at thirteen I’m not quite old enough to stay planetside by myself, my parents flipped a coin to decide which of them I would accompany. Now that I think about it, given the trouble that I got the Amity into, I’m not sure Mom would still say that she “won” the coin toss.
ODDER SPACE is a humorous upper middle grade sci-fi novel with awe-inspiring spaceships, belligerent aliens, phlazer battles, pseudoscientific gobbledygook, and an artificial intelligence with a serious morale problem… but also spunk, heart, and some important life lessons. Mostly it’s just a lot of fun.
…and an excerpt can be found on How Pants Work, this very moment!
So, what can you do to help make ODDER SPACE a stellar success?
- Buy a copy — for yourself or a “young person”!
- Tell your friends and loved ones — perhaps parents of young persons or young persons themselves — about ODDER SPACE!
- Write a review on Amazon, Goodreads, or a bathroom wall (in a Middle School)!
- Post about ODDER SPACE on the “socials”!
As it happens, ODDER SPACE will make a terrific holiday gift, but please don’t try to stuff a copy into a stocking (or a turkey, for that matter), and please keep it away from the menorah (it’ll burn).
