So you have decided to take financial education seriously? Rest assured, you’re on the right webpage because that’s all we do here at How They Made Money.

Being financially unstable is known to have adverse effects on both mental and physical health. Whether you want to start a business, pay personal bills on time, travel, buy nice things for your family and partner, or put your kids in a good school — you’re going to need money.

Unfortunately, they don’t teach us to be financially independent in school. No worries, we’ll teach each other through this publication.

Let’s understand the publication guidelines in detail.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for stories about the financial success of individuals or businesses from all around the world.

Usually, we prefer stories in the form of “How X Person (or business) made Y amount of Money”.

For example,

  1. How Rapper The Weeknd Made $92 Million
  2. How a Teenager Made $1 Million Selling Socks

*But you’re encouraged to be creative*

If your article is not written in the format mentioned above but it can teach people how to make money, we’d like to publish it. For example, the following article is not written in the usual format, but it's still pretty powerful:

How Rockefeller Became America’s First Billionaire

How to Write a Kickass Story

  • Follow Medium’s rules and curation guidelines, please
  • No self-promotion or selling courses or asking people to follow you (and all that kind of stuff)
  • Please use Grammarly (it’s free) to check for grammatical and spelling mistakes
  • Make sure the post is at least 700–1000 words long
  • Use a relevant image/s to support your article
  • Please add credible links for reference purposes and to support your claims

How to Submit Your Article to Us

If you’re not a writer yet, please fill out this form and you’ll be added ASAP.

If you’re already a writer, please follow this guideline to learn how to submit your stories to a publication.

**We only accept original drafts — not the stories that have been posted elsewhere.**

If you don’t hear back in 4 business days, please assume that your story has not been selected at this time.

If your draft is accepted, we reserve the right to make a few tweaks within the story, change the image, correct a couple of spelling mistakes, etc.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers.
