How to Draw and Paint an Autumn picture
Starring Doggo — naturally!
It’s that time of year when a straightforward picture that covers the subjects of autumn and maybe of Halloween, too, is useful to have at hand ready for general greetings or holiday wishes. Of course, a dog will be involved. Also — autumn leaves and pumpkin pals.
Materials include scrap paper, drawing paper, pencil, eraser, pen, maybe colouring pencils, or watercolour pencils, and a brush of some sort. Most importantly — did I mention — plenty of scrap paper to try out lines, textures, and squiggles in general before putting them onto your artwork.
I shall alternate the pictures of my hand-drawn stages — in red — with the same thing in digital — in black — to make it clear — I am a scruffy hand-drawer.
Starting with the main subject — Doggo — shapes are good as a base. Circles and ovals. You can use squares and rectangles, too, if you prefer. I’m using circles.
Draw in circles for the pumpkins, too, so everything’s in the right place.
