Bouncing from agenda to agenda in the never-ending saga that is our self-destructive karma,
We find ourselves confronted again by a completely diametric dilemma,
We have never dropped the noose of our colonial masters and play at truces with them anathema,
We are now keenly courting yet another slave master in the Xinjiang Deniers,
As they bring economic ruin with yet another railway line from the coast to Nam Lolwe,
How long do we want to dance with these socks on Kenyans?
How long shall we minimise our presence at the expense of our own true happiness?
Wouldn’t you want to know that more of your wealth wasn’t going to the same people year after decade after… In all seriousness?
Sometimes my mind wanders,
And I discover amongst the trees and birdsong wonders,
The world, oh our dear Mother,
Nature intends to take her course with these gluttonous punks,
Soon come the redemption song,
Though I doubt it will be on a wheelbarrow…
