Bored — 2

Things get worse before they get better. Yesterday was the perfect example for that. I have been expecting things to be very hectic at work this week. And hectic it was. Yesterday it hit a crescendo. And by the time I was done with everything, it was quite late in the night and I was too tired to do anything else. Hence, no practice, no writing.

I woke up about half an hour back and went directly to the piano to record something before I wrote this piece. And what awaited was a series of extremely boring pieces in the John Thompson book. I had the thought of just skipping them, but just for the sake of completeness, I played the first of the remaining pieces and recorded it. While it was meant to be played at a much higher tempo, I had no interest in practicing the piece, hence I just recorded whatever I could play after trying for 4–5 times. The piece is called A Keyboard Recreation and this is what it sounds like.

The next piece in the book is better but not by much. I don’t think I will be spending too much time on that one either. I have already played it a few times so by the next time I write, I should have it recorded.

Now whatever little time I have before I leave for work, I should be spending practicing, not writing about not practicing. So I will leave it here.
