HPB Monthly Progress Report — September 2022

I. Infrastructure and Tool Development

MainNet Maintenance and Development

Ethereum has just completed the switch to Proof Of Stake. To follow the current technological development trend, HPB plans to launch a non-BOE mining option, so that more nodes can support the MainNet through the conversion of pledge and voting without installing BOE hardware. This feature aims to further energize HPB supporters. The focus of the technical team this month is on developing the BOE mining version. The specific work involved is summarized as follows:

• Analyzed the feasibility of the non-BOE mining option;
• Completed the technical architecture design of the non-BOE mining option;
• Done with the writing of relevant documentation (technical implementation documents, manuals, etc.);
• Partially designed the UI of the application page;
• Partially completed the code development of the non-BOE mining option;
• Partly completed the unit test of the non-BOE mining option.

HPB plans to officially launch the software mining version on 1st November 2022, so stay tuned!

Other Events of the MainNet are as follows:

• Increased prometheus.getAllVoters interface to support getting all voting data;
• Added the prometheus_getAllHpbNodes interface to support obtaining voter information.

The new functions above are planned to be officially released in MainNet Version 1.0.9.3.

Hscan and Other Tools

• Increased RPC log display to show indicators such as total request amount and load balancing;
• Improved the availability of RPC and add RPC server nodes;
• Added the https://cn.hpbnode.com RPC service;
• Optimized the block monitor function to to show the number of blocks nodes lost in real time;
• Continued to optimize hpb-remix and fixed the known issues;
• Fixed the problem of abnormal percentage display on Top Accounts;
• Added Setting function to Hscan to support Chinese so as to serve the Chinese community;
• Released HPB random-number transaction platform to support the transactions of random numbers.

HPB Wallet version 2.5.3 for Android phones is now available for downloads from Google Store and HPB’s official website. See: https://www.hpb.io/post-758

II. Ecosystem

Hpdex

Hpdex Farm will be completely closed on 31st October, 2022. Hpdex users must retrieve all the pledged liquidity pools before that. Details:

III. HPB Community

HPB Chinese Community

In September, HPB Chinese Telegram group launched activities such as invitation rewards and active ranking rewards. 2,789 people have been added to the community.

HPB Indonesia Community

In September, HPB Indonesia Telegram group launched a monthly airdrop reward activity, and 886 people were added to the community.

Website Review

A community review of www.hpb.io is now underway. The short-term plan is to refresh the written content and to add extra pages to bring it up to date.
