David Senra’s Playbook for Mastery, Work Ethic, and Mindset
Six Steps for Turning Obsession Into a System and a Legacy
David Senra, creator of Founders Podcast, has built his life around one principle: obsession.
His podcast extends beyond content and is a “personal curriculum” designed to make him smarter by studying history’s greatest entrepreneurs. Along the way, he’s built what he calls a “personal monopoly” in podcasting.
His principles can be applied across disciplines.
As he adapts the practices of history’s greatest entrepreneurs, you can apply the same lessons to building a high-performance mental game and work ethic.
1. Build Focus and Obsession
Senra calls focus the most important word he’s learned from studying hundreds of historical figures. He identifies as an “obsessive” and a “maniac on a mission.” That’s the level of intensity he believes real success requires.
Action: Cut distractions ruthlessly. If it doesn’t serve your mission, remove it. Obsession isn’t unhealthy when it’s directed toward building something great. Choose one thing and go all in.
