S1 E11: Back to Basics
Max said, “Sid must have told you that we want you to fix the basics first.”
Neel replied, “Yes, Sid asked me to do so.”
Max asked, “How do you plan to start?”
Neel asked Max, “What is the problem with the current payroll vendor?”
Neel was expecting that Max will try to defend his friend and come out of his shell.
The response baffled him.
Max said, “Our current payroll vendor has taken us for a ride. There are many issues with him. He takes 15 days of credit for paying salaries which is a bad thing for the start-up business. We had agreed to it because earlier they had nowhere else to go.”
“Also, our payroll vendor did not submit provident fund money to authorities. He has a good connection with local authorities so no one bothered us but it is a big liability for the company. “
Max continued, “We now want to work with someone more professional. Hence, we needed a person like you who understands the nitty-gritty of this business.”
Neel said, “But Myra was saying something else…”
Max laughed and said, “I know. Myra is a kid.”
