S1 E8: How to select a payroll vendor
Neel asked Myra, “Have you done any work on identifying a payroll vendor?”
Myra shared a list of payroll outsourcing vendors with Neel. Myra said that she had already arranged for meetings with the all of them. Neel started thinking about how he will shortlist one of these vendors. Neel came up with an ACE evaluation criteria.
1. Availability
Whenever you need the vendor, he should be available. That can be measured by the strength of support team and turnaround time of tickets.
2. Cost
Cost of operation should be competitive. That can be measured by the overall cost of operations.
3. Expertise
Vendor should be an expert in the field of study. That can be measured by the number of clients, client satisfaction scores and years of operations.
