Faculty Spotlight: Dr. Jordan Bass

In this ongoing series in Spring 2024, we will be highlighting faculty members in the Department of Health, Sport and Exercise Sciences at the University of Kansas.

Dr. Jordan Bass holds the position of Department Chair and Associate Professor for the Health, Sport, and Exercise Sciences Department. A faculty member since 2013, he has contributed significantly as the Sport Management Program Director and the Associate Department Chair. Dr. Bass has been instrumental in the expansion of the Sport Management Program. In addition to his administrative role, he teaches courses in Organizational Behavior and Leadership and Sport Sociology as part of the Online Master’s Degree program, as well as the undergraduate course, Sport in Film. His current research focuses on the experiences of student athletes at small colleges. Dr. Bass is married to Robin, who also works in the HSES department, and they are parents to two children, Julian and Charlotte. Learn more about Dr. Bass in the video below.
