Giving a great speech is hard, don’t be afraid to ask for help!
Let’s be honest, too many people think getting up in front of a crowd and delivering a memorable (for the right reasons!) speech is easy.
“I won’t write anything, I can wing it,” they say.
“I’ll start thinking about it a couple of days before the wedding and I’ll be fine,” I’ve heard.
“I’ll have had a few drinks by the time I give the speech, and I’m always the life of the party when I’m tipsy,” is a thing I’ve been told.
I can prove all that, because I said it all to myself. Trust me, it’s better to get help than feel like crap because you blew it at a friend’s wedding.
