This is Bad
In a world of screens and endless scrolling,
Where our time and attention are often stolen,
There is a platform that is vibrant and loud,
It’s TikTok ads always trying to astound.
With every click a new ad appears,
Promising laughter and sometimes tears,
They dance and sing with little jingles,
Trying to entice us with marketing tingles.
Oh, TikTok ads you are quite the show,
Captivating us with a vibrant glow,
From fashion trends to tasty treats,
Anything to hook us with your comfy beats.
There’s an ad for a fitness on an app site,
Promising abs and a chiseled body tight,
Oh well, that was a fast-fleeing dream,
You got us munching chips in a dim light.
Here comes an ad for a travel site,
Showing us beaches that are pristine and bright,
Then reality strikes as we are at home,
Dreaming of adventures, we want to roam.
There’s a skincare ad showing flawless faces,
Promising us youth and radiant graces,
We buy the creams and the serums, a lot,
But wrinkles remain reminding us of times plot.
And let us not forget the ads for games,
With characters and quests calling our names,
We download them all eager for delight,
But soon they are forgotten, lost in the night.
Oh, TikTok ads you’re quite the tease,
With your clever tricks and persuasive pleas,
Infiltrating our minds while we are in thought,
Leaving us always wanting to seek what is sought.
But among your chaos is a glimmer of hope,
A chance to break free so that we can cope,
In the corner, a “skip ad” appears,
With just one click, we reclaim all we hold dear.
