Tomorrow will be the Tree Festival, the day dedicated to a treasure made of woods, forests, green areas, nature, which reminds us of the importance of defending a common good — circle of life. An opportunity to draw attention to the extent of trees, fundamental elements of the ecosystem, make us breathe, cut down pollution in the air, and defend ourselves from climate change impacts. The initiative is a natural conclusion to welcome its guests, offering organic produce and the opportunity to relax, taking nature walks culminating with the Festival of Trees at Acquafredda Nature Reserve in Rome.

On the occasion of the Tree Festival 2020, RomaNatura, in collaboration with AMEROnlus, intends to dedicate to the Tenuta Acquafredda Nature Reserve nature walks to learn how to recognize the tree species and habitats of this natural capital of biodiversity, appreciating its specificities and learning how to take care of it.

Saturday, November 21st, the guradiaparco (park rangers)of RomaNature and botanical experts of AMEROnlus, will guide us to explore theme hikes and educational nature trails through the fascinating world of the arboreal and shrubby species of the Nature Reserve of the Acquafredda woodland.
Cork oaks, elms, horsetails, rose hips, brooms, thistles, and orchids, a botanical-naturalistic walk to explore the landscape, know and identify trees and perceive their main features.

Determination, curiosity, and passion will take us to rediscover the pleasure of slow tours surrounded by the beauties of the territory heading to one of the green lungs a stone’s throw from the center of Rome.
