Piazza Doria at Rocca Massima. Rocca Massima (literally highest peak) takes its name from its strategic position near the top of Lepini mountain range located seven hundred meters above sea level. It represents a classic example of an integrated and well preserved Medieval village in Lazio. Its privileged west position enjoys an incomparable panorama of the Tirreno sea.

Rocca Massima is a small municipality in the Lepini Mountains and is the highest town in the province of Latina (Lazio).

Recently, thanks to the establishment of voluntary associations, which have helped generate cultural events thus encouraging hill and mountain tourism, Rocca Massima has begun to live again.

Set in Rocca Massima’s historic center, B&B L’Arcangelo offers an Italian restaurant and rooms with views of the town or the Mediterranean Sea. Free Wi-Fi is available in the restaurant.

In this area, some 1000 quintals of chestnuts are produced each year, and the annual Chestnut Festival held in Rocca Massima in summertime began four years ago, has become increasingly popular.
