Get ready for an authentic trip in the future:

The UNWTO Tourism Startup Competition aims to select the best solutions and projects from every corner of the planet leading to new tourist business models, such as the circular economy. In this regard, one of the goals of the competition is to give visibility to projects that are committed to making the most of the proven sustainability of tourism.

Besides, to facilitate the participation of startups and standardize their proposals, the Programme will be implemented through the digital platformYouNoodle, a leading Silicon Valley company in the startup evaluation space at the global level.

Those interested in participating can find more information and submit their applications through the programme’s website at www.tourismstartups.org.

A jury will evaluate the entries and select the best twenty projects as semi-finalists.

Projects will be evaluated according to five parameters: uniqueness and viability of the solution, potential impact, business model, scalability and team profile. The twenty selected semi-finalists are scheduled to be announced in September 2018.

Competition winners will then have the opportunity to be part of a pilot project with Globalia, which leads to work along with companies to transform the tourism industry.
