Respect Metarvase NFT Musician — Raymond Obasohan
At Respect. live we found such a young man, who has a great voice and is a songwriter. He is very clear about what he wants to do in the future, is positive, sunny, and humble, so he is welcome in the community. We think he has the potential to be a role model for some young people around him, and Respect Metarvase is very happy to have him join us at music NFT; he is Raymond Obasohan.
Let’s get to know him better.
Raymond Obasohan is a 23-year-old singer and songwriter from Benin City, Nigeria. He is also one of the first African finalists at the Respect Metaverse International Singing Competition and won Top 5 at the Ultimate Open Mic.
In addition to his pursuit in the music industry, being a nurse has been a goal Raymond set for himself at a young age. Raymond thinks that caring for patients will give him a chance to be part of great help to humanity. The humble traits also show in the music he wrote, producing soothing music to comfort the audience during the global pandemic.
For Raymond, writing lyrics and melodies for his single originals is the best part for him, especially when composing new pieces. The lyrics and melodies just come to Raymond naturally.
Raymond also self-taught himself to play musical instruments by watching videos online. He plays both acoustic guitar and piano, and those skills are handy when composing new songs.
Raymond has a very positive attitude and always treats fellow musicians and audience with Respect. He has gained followers who were impressed by both of his talents and characteristics.
Growing up in a not very career-oriented family, Raymond wants to make changes and be the first to make that change. He also works hard to improve his family’s lives. He says, “Regardless of what I have been through, I keep my hope full even when my cup is running empty. As long as I still have lights in my eyes, I will keep smiling.”
