Tokyo and Osaka are Japan’s two most famous cities which have some of the most iconic landmarks like Osaka castle, Tokyo’s world-famous Shibuya crossing, Universal Studio Japan in Osaka etc. These two major cities of Japan are 500 km apart and some of the differences in character between the two cities make each of them unique.

While Tokyo is a rambunctious city where people are always trying to bide their time to get somewhere else. Osaka is considered by native Japanese people as well as foreigners a more welcoming city, where people are more affable and open to outsiders compared to Tokyo. Osaka city has better nightlife, as the bars and restaurants remain open till late at night. Japanese people are known for their punctuality and discipline around the world.
