With vital assistance from its booming IT industry, it hopes to put together an expansive and unprecedented national surveillance infrastructure.

What does the Digital Twin mean?

A digital twin is a digital representation of a physical object, person, or process, contextualized in a digital version of its environment. Digital twins can help an organization simulate real situations and their outcomes, ultimately allowing it to make better decisions.

One great example of a product twin is something you probably already have in your pocket: Google Maps is a digital twin of the Earth’s surface. It links real-time data on traffic to help optimize your commute.

How can we use AI Face Recognition for Predict on Digital Twin and what is the solution on Huawei Cloud?

There are numerous benefits that organizations can leverage after shifting to smart campus solutions. On the high level, some of the applications are explained in the following architecture diagram:

Is there any service from Huawei?

Yes, It has. FRS (Face Recognition Service) on Huawei Cloud will be a possible solution to this problem. FRS provides the following features all via REST APIs, which could be integrated into customers’ systems, such as identification system, entrance control, security checks, facial check-in systems, etc.

Besides REST APIs, users could also use FRS SDKs provided by Huawei Cloud in different programming

languages, which are wrappers of the REST APIs to simplify the integration with FRS.

This API is used to detect, locate, and analyze the face in an input image, and output the key facial points and attributes. Possible usage scenarios include intrusion detection where identification isn’t required and used together with Face Retrieval, i.e. in building entry control, the face is detected first from the video stream and then sent to Face Retrieval for authentication.
