HUAWEI Student Developers attended DigitAll Night of HUAWEI CONNECT 2022 PARIS

HSD initially launched in China in 2019 before expanding to Europe in 2020. This program is designed to help students on their respective journeys to becoming tomorrow’s tech pioneers. Since 2020, HSD runs more than 110 codelabs for over 8700 student developers and has cooperated with over 60 universities across Europe include the Imperial College London, University College London, and Paris-saclay University.

HUAWEI Student Developers (HSD) France was proud to attend DigitAll Night of HUAWEI CONNECT 2022 PARIS as one of the talent programs in Huawei hosted on October 17 in Paris, France. As part of HUAWEI CONNECT 2022 PARIS, DigitALL Night is a vibrant Talent Flagship Event specifically created for University Students studying STEM or ICT topics along with young people in Europe who have an interest in technology and digital life. Huawei thrive to inspire young talent with great presentations, exciting discussions around digitalization and green technology, and to bring the young talent together with digital Opinion Leaders and ICT industry experts from across Europe.

Lesley White Keynote Speech

In the keynote session, “Cultivating and Retaining Talent for a Sustainable World”, Lesley White, Deputy VP of Huawei Western European Region Human Resource Department, unveiled Huawei’s vision to develop digital talents in Europe through various scholarships, technology competitions, and digital skills training, including HSD programs and the Apps UP contest. Additionally, our former HSD ambassador and also Apps UP 2021 winner Víctor Pérez Jiménez shared his experience with the HSD program and Apps UP challenge to over 600 attendees.

HSD ambassadors are enthusiastic leaders within the community and will assist with organizing and hosting events, workshops, and other activities. In return, HSD ambassadors will gain leadership skills in addition into tapping a global network of talent, benefit from mentorship opportunities, have the potential to attend global events, and connect with Huawei experts that are some of the most esteemed in their respective fields.

At the booth, Developer Advocate Anmy Zhang introduced HMS Core capabilities and how to join HSD programs. Student representatives from France also shared their experience with HSD program at the booth. They believe that HSD offers students an opportunity to expand their scope of knowledge in a dynamic peer-to-peer learning environment through enriching training courses and activities.

Huawei Mobile Services

Members can learn a variety of skills across Huawei’s vast ecosystem that covers its HMS (Huawei Mobile Services) Core open capabilities, cutting-edge topics like AI, and more. Moving forward, HSD will continue to nurture young talent and give tech-savvy and change resilient young people the skills and mindsets to create innovative apps and services to engage future generations.
