My Experience with Huawei Cloud KooLabs Project ☁️ Note: I hold a Master’s Degree in Economics
We initiated a certified three-video program in collaboration with the Huawei Cloud team, called Huawei Cloud Enablement. Throughout this process, I had the opportunity to learn about the opportunities and technological innovations offered by Huawei Cloud at Huawei Student Developers Turkey events. However, I had never experienced cloud technologies before. After graduating from the Kodluyoruz Data Science Bootcamp, I primarily worked in the field of software communities. Working with the Huawei Cloud team rekindled my interest in software and technologies. I started and completed the Huawei Cloud Enablement training. In this article, my experience from a different educational background during the Huawei Cloud Enablement training process represents a unique perspective. ✨

In the initial stages, cloud computing concepts may sound unfamiliar. We can take simple and understandable notes for ourselves. For example:
- Auto Scaling is a cloud computing feature used to automatically increase or decrease capacity and speed. This means that when your application requires more resources based on demand, it automatically deploys additional resources or shrinks resources automatically when demands decrease.
- Hosting refers to the services used to host a website before purchasing a domain. The term “Hosty” is not typically used to describe such services. Hosting services enable websites and applications to be accessible on the internet.
The tasks are clearly explained on the KooLabs page. When you complete these tasks, a green checkmark appears, changing the task color, which also boosts your motivation✅

It introduces ModelArts, Huawei Cloud’s AI (Artificial Intelligence) service. In this section, fundamental information is provided about what ModelArts is, the features it offers, how it is used, and the types of applications it can be used for.
🤖 You can use ModelArts to create projects and experience training artificial intelligence models. For example, you can upload photos in foggy conditions to the system. After training the system with these photos, it can categorize other images by analyzing them. You can upload more examples to the system to improve its accuracy.
❗️ You don’t need to develop code while using this system. The system works in the background, allowing you to practice by adding datasets. We recommend it for those who are new to the field of AI🚀.
✨ In ModelArts, you can create your projects and use ready-made or custom AI models.
🛎️ After creating your project, it’s essential to review the Evaluation Result data once the training phase is completed. If it falls below 50%, you should not proceed to the next stage. You may need to redo the project. If the Evaluation Result data for the project is between 80–90%, it means the project is successful, and you can move on to the next stage.

Huawei Cloud Big Data Services refers to a cloud computing platform that offers various services in the fields of big data analytics, business intelligence, and data management. The Big Data Services within Huawei Cloud are designed to simplify businesses’ operations with large volumes of data and enable them to make better business decisions.
- DataLake Analytics (DLA): DLA provides big data analytics to meet data visualization, analysis, and business intelligence requirements. It allows you to collect, process, and analyze data from different sources.
2. Data Warehouse Service (DWS): DWS is designed to fulfill the storage and querying needs of big data. It offers a fast and scalable data warehouse for data analysis.
3. Stream Service (DTS): DTS is used for real-time data streams and event processing. This service is handy for capturing, processing, and analyzing large data streams.
4. HBase: HBase is a NoSQL database solution designed to store and process data at high volumes and high speeds. It supports data management for big data applications.
5. Machine Learning Service (MLS): MLS simplifies machine learning and artificial intelligence model creation for big data analytics. It is used for tasks such as data mining and predictive analysis.
6. Graph Database Service (GDS): GDS is used for relational analysis and network analysis based on large data. It is ideal for modeling and querying graph data.
7. Data Integration Service (DIS): DIS is used for data integration and data flow management. It is useful for integrating and processing data from different sources.
Huawei Cloud’s big data services support large-scale data projects by focusing on important features such as scalability, security, and performance.
