1% for the Planet
It’s been 7 months since we announced our pledge to give 1% of our revenue to help the planet, and we wanted to give you an update on how we’re doing so far.
While we’ve always been donating, volunteering and sponsoring as many causes as we can, we’ve now upped the ante to ensure we crush our targets.
Animals can’t get insurance, so we donated over $5,000 to the WWF bushfire appeal to help them out after the horrifying bushfires that swept across Australia. And we’re not stopping there, donations will continue over the next few months with the help of our generous members.
Members who’ve added our Kanga cover extra to their car insurance have helped us donate over $800 for the Kangaroo Protection Co-Operative (KPC). The KPC is a kangaroo sanctuary that does an amazing job raising and rehabilitating orphaned or injured native wildlife.
We’ve also been volunteering like crazy, with our team in the Sunny Coast supporting the RFS with the bushfire response, planting new trees, and donating food and other supplies to those affected.
Whilst it’s a good start, we’re certainly not done, and we’ll keep doing as much as possible to help this planet.
