Camping ⛺️ fun
In Puerto Natales, we rented sleeping bags and all the stuff for camping and yes! We were going to camp 🏕with our Australian friends (Jodi and Mark, with their sons Max, Leo and Gus) and mummy who doesn’t like camping😩. We went to Torres del Paine and tried to find a camping place. Mummy and daddy were a bit stressed😧 because all the camping places were full online but we came across one where there was an amazing view🏞 and plenty of space to play football. And yippee😁, we got a place there!
We played football ⚽️ and then mum said “right, hike!” Ughhhh 💔we said. We went up to Mirador Los Condores. There were black, grey and white trees. I asked mum why they were that colour and she said there was a fire 🔥 here🤭. I thought “I’d not want to be in that fire!’
We made a campfire and we cooked potatoes 🥔 on the fire. Dad even tried to cook an egg 🥚 in the fire and do you think it cracked?? 🤔 See the answer at the end🧐. Afterwards we ate s’mores. I and the Australians were playing "IT" so Eléonore, who doesn’t like running 🏃🏾♀️, stayed by the fire and did a s’more dance! When we were doing s’mores it was really funny because Max made his marshmallow completely black!
The next day, we did a hike which was very tiring. It was 20km in total and when I say 20km going up and down with a 800m elevation gain! There was this part called ‘the windy pass’ 🌬dum dum dum! It was really scary because it was a steep slope and the wind 💨knocked me down. Luckily I wasn’t hurt 😅
I spent the second night in the tent with daddy and I slept very well even if it was very windy.
The last day, we went to see a nice iceberg but not worth the hike as Gus lost his coat which blew off in the wind.
I liked being in Torres del pine with our Australian friends. See you in two weeks!
… so did the egg crack? It did not, it was perfectly cooked 😀
Hasta Luego!
