Zadar, Split and Brac island

We arrive in Zadar, a historical town on the coast with a mix of Roman ruins and Renaissance buildings… very pretty!
And we discover a highlight of our stay in Zadar… the cakes at Art Kavana! We will go back every day of our stay in Zadar 😋
On the harbour, with the sea organ, a wonderful installation by local architect Nikola Basic. It's an experimental musical instrument, which plays music thanks to sea waves going in tubes located underneath a set of large marble steps.
on the right, the salutation to the sun by the same artist: a cercle of solar panels that gets its energy during the day and lights up from dawn till dusk: amazing!
yellow and red "semi-submarines" passing by a green lighthouse!
Watching the sunset by the sea organ
Cruise to the Kornati islands… we are a bit disappointed (but probably a bit spoilt by what we experienced in Thailand and elsewhere!)
Raphaël is exhausted by his day
Cicada
The children's favourite campsite so far, with huge pool and waterslides!
Cleaning Cro-mignon
View from our campground near Split, simple but just by the sea… amazing!
The children try cider!
Split on the right
Wonderfully preserved Roman sites: better in fact than in Italy!
12 century BC Sphynx looted from Egypt by the Romans
The courtyard in Diocletian palace
And the basement where Daenerys kept her dragons in Game of Throne's Meereen city!
The golden gate of the city, with the huge statue of Gregory of Nin, a medieval Croatian bishop who opposed the Pope and introduced the Croatian language in the religious services
In the island of Brac, on the right the famous beach of Zlatni rat… too bad the weather is not that great on that day
The cute village of Bol, also in Brac
