A hike for the ages in Trolltunga and a peak at Norway's beautiful fjords in Ålesund

We are impressed by all the ferries crossing the fjords. They are electric for the most part: they don't disturb the landscapes and are very silent… bliss! Also, everything is automatic and they just scan the license plate, very modern and efficient
Fjord in Odda
And we start at 8am for the Trolltunga (troll's tongue) hike: only 350m of positive elevation but 21 km round trip: it's long but landscapes are amazing all along the way
It's steep at first, until we get to the relatively flat and long part, with lots of snow everywhere
Fun in the snow!
Cairn…. and after four and a half hours, we are there!!
You have to wait about 20 minutes to go on the tongue to take pictures… so we each take our turn, apart from Raphael who is a bit scared so only wants to go with us
The long way back down and on the drive back to Bergen the day after, we stop at the Steinsdalsfossen waterfall
Arrival in Ålesund on the right, with sun setting around 22:30!
Surprise: there is a pole in the bedroom, the kids are trying it and will improve their pole dancing skills a lot over the course of 3 days!😜
Ålesund, the Art Nouveau town
On the way to Geiranger
He's still my baby… sometimes!
The stunning Geiranger fjord
The 7 sisters and the wooer, on the other side of the fjord. He can't never get to them so turns to the bottle (shape between the falling water on both sides) in despair
We love those grass roofs everywhere
418 steps to have a view on Ålesund at sunset
Nice restaurant for the last night of our year of travel😢
See how the kids have improved!
