First bath

Another first…Hugh had his first bath yesterday!

He hasn’t had a bath until now because his skin is so thin and sensitive. They generally leave him be, with the exception of a wipe-down as needed. Plus, he would have trouble maintaining his temperature in a wet tub outside of his warm isolette.

Until now! He’s officially tub-bath-ready. And he LOVES it. Look…

He stayed swaddled as we shampooed his hair. Then we immersed him in a tiny warm tub and suds-ed him up. His CPAP and feeding tube stayed on but all his monitors were off. All under the warmth of a heat lamp.
