At Human Design, we are huge fans of film. Some of our most impactful work has been designing and developing websites for the documentaries Racing Extinction and The Ivory Game. We believe that film is a powerful medium for storytelling, and that in this modern world of goldfish-like attention spans, it’s one of the few things that captures people’s awareness long enough to leave a lasting impression. So when the folks behind the Boulder International Film Festival approached us and asked if we were interested in sponsoring the event this year, of course we said yes!

The Boulder International Film Festival, hosted by the Colorado Film Society at the historic Boulder Theater, will take place from March 2–5, 2017. Each year more than 25,000 people attend the Festival to celebrate some of film’s most influential and up-and-coming artists. Many of the films with early screenings at BIFF go on to enjoy critical and box-office success, garnering the Festival a reputation as one of the “25 Coolest Film Festivals” in the world.

As if that weren’t awesome enough, the BIFF Youth Pavilion takes place during the Festival at the Boulder Public Library and offers free films and workshops designed for students aged 6–18. Through these kinds of educational outreach programs in addition to events like BIFF, the Colorado Film Society aims to foster artistic, social, and cultural awareness in the Boulder community.

Talk about trying to #MoveTheHumanRace! We are beyond excited to help sponsor an event created by such an outstanding organization. BIFF passes are already available, so grab yours before they run out.
